Everyone should try to get help from their families but during the times where your loved ones didn’t or couldn’t facilitate your needs, America and Theresa give you options for outside help. Making that important step toward seeking help is crucial and if you’re a young person that next step could be scary. Go online and arm yourself with information, find local supports (like warmlines or online forums), seek out local in-person support groups to try to connect with other people who are also struggling and if you are going to be seeking professional services you should prepare yourself to share that with your parents.
